The Voices of Liberty became my dream years ago on my first trip to Walt Disney World.  I loved the group so much that I brought back a tape and have since memorized every note.

The Voices of Liberty provide PreShow entertainment for guest who come to the American pavilion to see "The American Adventure" - the wonderful audio animatronic show featured at the American pavilion.  Or, if you're like me, you go just to see them - over, and over, and over - just kidding.  You can find them in the foyer of the American pavilion.  Your EPCOT map will tell you the performance times.

Only eight people sing in the group per performance.  The music is technical and very challenging - often requiring each performer to sing his/her own part.  Each member of the group is dressed in turn of the century (the last one - not this one) colonial clothing.  That means high collars, long sleeves, floor length skirts, and coats.  Even in the midst of Florida summer.  These vocalists are dedicated and fabulous and strikingly friendly they will engage you in conversation just after the performance.  They are not only the best vocalists in Walt Disney World but quite possibly, they are the best vocalists in the Entire World! 

The Voices of Liberty sing in straight tone - their blend is absolutely phenomenal - especially when they sing in uniform.  Once again, everything that they do is a cappella.  They sing arrangements of folk American songs.  You won't believe the complexity, challenge, and beauty of the harmonies.

As far as I have been able to find - and trust me I have looked, and looked, and looked - The only place to get their CDs is in the park.  Their current CD is entitled "Acappella Americana." They also have two Christmas CDs out.
